Notion just got seriously smart (and I think you're gonna love it)

JUICY SYSTEMS BITS | Sept 2025

Hi Superstars,

Thank you for sticking around! I know I’ve been a bit MIA here.

Someone recently DM'd me asking if I'm worried about losing clients to Notion AI now that people can build their own databases. And, I think I've made it at this point…

But honestly? Not really. I'm actually excited to share these new Notion updates with you because they're seriously good and you should know about them!

Also, it's suddenly freakishly sunny in London?? On a Friday?! So you might not read this right away, but maybe save it for a slow weekend read x

So let’s begin:

  1. Notion 3.0 with AI Agents - ofc with this whole AI boom, they have to make their investors happy, so AI features got a whole new boost. At first I was sceptical, BUT genuinely I’m impressed at the capabilities. Your custom AI agents can plan projects, create pages and databases, and handle entire workflows without you having to babysit them.

Imagine your busywork just getting done while you focus on the stuff that actually matters. That's what we're talking about.

At the moment, you can have one agency to try for FREE across your workspace, but coming soon, you’ll be able to have multiple agents handling different tasks and supporting you and your team.

  2. Plays well with your other tools - it pulls info from Slack, Google Drive, Gmail, and more, so everything stays connected instead of scattered across your multiple tools.

Searching got really streamlined, eg, you can ask them what the latest updates are on your leads based on the leads database, and it will give me a summary as well as write email drafts!

  3. Learns how YOU work - you can teach the agents your processes and tone, so everything feels like it came from your team, not a robot. So basically, I tell my mini me to give me some “okay, QUEEN” or “Superstar” because I have free will, so might as well make it fun.

  1. OFFLINE mode

You can now use Notion offline! This has been the longest feature request, and now it’s out to the world. You can simply go to the pages that you want to make offline and toggle the button for it to be downloaded.

But you’ll have to set this up separately on each device as your phone won't sync what's saved offline on your laptop. If you’re on a paid plan, your top 20 favourite pages and recently visited ones automatically download for offline access.

Just remember this only works in the actual apps, not if you're using it in your browser.

  1. Granular permission to your database

You can now share parts of your database with your clients and give them access to edit while limiting what else they can see. By using the “can edit content” sharing option.

What does it mean: people can add/edit/delete rows and change row property values, but cannot change properties, views, filters, or sorts

I’d say there’s a great potential for streamlining your whole agency/ studio projects calendar with it; however, it seems to still need some work on restricting the filters and sort options, as there seem to be edge cases where that still happens. So I wouldn’t necessarily put sensitive information at risk like that.

  1. Pricing changes for Business & Enterprise

What changed: Advanced AI capabilities are now included on Business and Enterprise rather than as AI add‑ons on Free/Plus.

Which might be annoying, as some features (Enterprise Search, AI Meeting Notes, Research Mode) aren’t visible on Plus.

But if this is a tool you’re mainly using for your business, I do see a benefit in upgrading, given so many cool features and how it streamlines your work.

I’m planning a small pilot to implement those AI systems and agents for some of my clients in October. Feel free to reply if you want to chat about how these might work for your setup and if it’s worth the update for your current business!

Hugs,

Ania
